Picture this: a girl at a local gig, surrounded by boys, watching boys on stage, seeing the stage being managed by boys. She is in a man’s world. But why?
GRRLS DO THAT TOO is here to support and encourage women and people of marginalised genders in the Leeds music scene; whether they are on-stage, behind the sound desk, producing, or running events. We want to create a community where you feel confident to express yourself and claim your space.
Everyone should recognise that the grrls can do the exact same as boys, we are just as powerful.
